Limit your use of caffeine and sugar, especially before bedtime. If you need to have a coffee during the day; have one in the afternoon, but make sure that your evening is sugar-free. Sugar causes hyperactivity in the mind, which neutralizes your chance of getting some peaceful sleep.

Try to drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Staying hydrated affects your sleep pattern. The more hydrated you remain, the better it will be for your mental and physical health. It is recommended that you put aside your phone and other devices half an hour before sleep, and make sure that you do not think about work or your personal conversations, and empty all thoughts from your mind.

It is essential that you get at least 8 hours of sleep in a day. To make sure of that, build a sleeping pattern, decide what time you will go to sleep and what time you will wake up. Afterward, remember to follow your sleep pattern consistently.
